About demand

A work order, a replenishment order and a request each create demand, with the same lines and the same ends.

Each line takes the stock there is now and closes the rest short. Stock that arrives later never reopens it.

Nothing here lights a bay. Each rack’s station pulls the collections waiting in its Ready list.

How files are read

With the site’s one codec: UTF-8, comma-separated, a header row naming its columns, item numbers kept as text. The codec is set in Integrations; a file in the pick-up folder is read the same way.

Then: The reels become one request. Each waits in its rack’s Ready list until a station pulls it; one reel that isn’t free refuses the whole list.

This site starts every replenishment order by a person. Where a site turns suggestions on, a suggestion only creates an order that a person accepts.

Then: One reel is allocated now, or the order closes short at once. It waits in its rack’s Ready list until the station there pulls it.
