How new parts are handled
This site: Strict. Received as a provisional item with Item unconfirmed, which blocks take-out until an administrator confirms the part.
The operator reads: “Part B000026170A is new here. Put the reel in; an administrator confirms the part.”
Only an administrator clears Item unconfirmed, by confirming the part or mapping it to one that exists. Change it in Policies.
Intake refuses a part nobody knows
Operators set the reel aside and nothing is received. Register the part first with Add part or Import parts; then the reel is received as usual.
