Controller maintenance

  • Update firmware
    CTRL-C01 doesn’t report its firmware. After an update with the vendor tool, you type the version it shows; Janus checks the controller answers and records both.
  • Replace the controller
    A new box takes over CTRL-C01: its name, address, wiring and every bay record. Nothing about the bays or reels changes.

Pause CTRL-C01 for a vendor tool

Janus releases the controller so a vendor tool can connect to it. Every bay on SR-03 shows Unknown until you reconnect. This is not electrical isolation.

The rack stays Limited and the receipt says which check failed. Going back needs the vendor tool; Janus records whichever version the controller reports.

Then: SR-03 becomes Limited while the vendor tool runs. Janus releases CTRL-C01; all 48 bays show Unknown and no light is set. Offline is expected until 14:47, so no offline alarm. When it answers again Janus reads the version, runs Check it answers and compares the wiring, then records both versions.
